Rudra is a selective, systemic herbicide belonging to the imidazolinone group that effectively controls a wide range of annual grasses, broadleaf weeds, and sedges. It works by inhibiting the ALS (Acetolactate Synthase) enzyme, which blocks the synthesis of essential branched-chain amino acids in weeds, ultimately stopping their growth and causing gradual death. It is absorbed through both leaves and roots and translocated throughout the plant, providing long-lasting weed control and helping crops grow without early-stage competition.
